Architecture Designs

 Architecture Designs
Separating each piece of the house by exploding it. This will allow the viewer to see what is happening inside of the house.
Axonometric means to measure along axes. While viewing the design in an top angle, the height of the walls are cut in half. This allows the viewer to see where the walls were cut and also allows the viewer to see inside the building.
Orthographic projection is when a design is drawn in one of its perspective; top, front, and side view. The park was drawn in its perspective views.
This is an isometric drawing of framing members. The drawing is drawn in a 30 degrees angle. The metal has been shaded to give texture.
In this floor plan the walls were shaded to make them stand out more. Landscape was added to give more entourage and also shadow was added to make it more realistic.
One point perspective is where there is a vanishing point. In this drawing all the lines go to the vanishing point.
Site plan is when you are seeing the design from the top view. On the bottom is the the site plan with a section cut. On top is the section, with the view from where we cut as if an individual was standing in that spot.
This is a structure rendered. The type of color used was prismacolor markers. Pastel chalk was used to give the effect of the sky.
These are interiors rendered. They were rendered with prismacolor markers and also with color pencil.
When they are 2 vanishing points the design its called 2 point perspective. Tone was added with graphite.

Why I choose to be an Architect

Hi my name is Jose Olvera. I'm a student at El Camino College, and my major is Architect. I was interested in becoming an architect since I was attending drafting classes in high school. I took three years of drafting and I enjoyed and loved the experience and the work. I enjoyed it because I have a passion towards working with math and art. After graduating from high school in 2008, I came straight to college. I found out they offered architecture classes, the following semester I registered for architecture classes. Since then I'm enrolled in architecture classes. I'm almost done with college and planning to transfer. I'm decided to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Architecture is a natural choice for me. I love the thrill of solving problems in Math, Physics and everyday life. I also love the thrill of putting my imagination into my designs. I am clear that I want to pursue the area of architecture, because it will enable me to combine the strongest aspects of my personality. My mission is to solve most of the problems to make the life of every individual easier.
